56th annual contest at arts council now through April 16

   GRAHAM – The Alamance County Arts Council’s Visual Arts Competition for Young People was one of the first arts council-sponsored programs when the group was founded 56 years ago and it has continued annually ever since. It is open to Alamance County students enrolled in grades 7 through 12 and consists of two divisions: Division I (middle school grades 7 and 8) and Division II (high school grades 9 through 12). Entries are selected and submitted by the visual art instructors from participating schools. All winning entries are on display in the Sister Galleries, Alamance County Arts Council, 213 S.
