GREENSBORO — Get ready for two action-   packed hours of monster truck stunts when the   Monster Jam® Triple Threat Series comes to   the Greensboro Coliseum at 7 p.m. Friday and   Saturday.
Brandon Vinson, a native of Currituck, drives   Grave Digger. He started out as a crew chief   for the Grave Digger team and began   competing in Monster Jam last year following   Dennis Anderson’s retirement from the sport.
“We do nose wheelies, moon walks and   donuts,” Vinson said in a recent phone   interview.
Audiences will be treated to some of the new   twists developed, including two-wheeled   stunts.
Expect the deafening roar of the trucks (ear protection is a good idea, no matter what your age). And the adrenaline rush, Vinson said, isn’t just for the riders.
“The fans love it when you go out there and tear up the truck,” Vinson said.
Another thing that makes Monster Jam unique is that men and women are equal competitors in the same contest, competing for the same prize.
A Pre-Show Pit Party will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets for that event are $10.
“Monster Jam competitors interact with the fans more than competitors in any other sport,” Vinson said. “Come early, hang out, get an autograph and kick the trucks.”

Tickets for the Triple Threat Series are $18 to $60; all tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 800-745-3000 or visiting
