Archery instruction for youth to be offered

   Basic Archery Instruction for Youth will be Feb. 16, March 27 and April 8 at Lake Mackintosh Clubhouse (temporary indoor archery range), 2704 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington.
Upcoming sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 and March 27 and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 8. The 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. session on April 8 is for ages 13 to 16 only. All other sessions are for ages 9 to 12 years old. Admission is free and all equipment will be provided. Participants may bring a water bottle with their name on it and a healthy snack. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.
   Archery practice (participants must have taken basic archery instruction for youth prior to Feb. 16) will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 at Lake Mackintosh Clubhouse (temporary indoor archery range), 2704 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington. Admission is free and all equipment will be provided.
Archery equipment will be provided by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission’s North Carolina Hunter Education Program through an enhancement federal grant from the Pittman-Roberson Act. For more information or to register, call (336) 229-3150 or visit www.BurlingtonNC.gov/youth.
