BCA senior releases his first EP

   Grey Oakes, a senior at Burlington Christian Academy, can add recording artist to his list of accomplishments.
Oakes is the worship leader at Burlington Christian Academy (BCA) and has performed at numerous events in and around the Piedmont-Triad including weddings, ballgames and special events. Oakes released his first EP, “Overdue,” on Nov. 29 during an event at the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro.
The EP consists of four songs — “Summer Love,” “Gone,” “The Best of My Love” and “Overdue.” The songs are a mix of pop and blues/rock. It was recorded at Shadow Tree Studios in Durham.
Oakes’ “Summer Love” video can be found on YouTube. It was directed and produced by Andrea Tani of Florence, Italy.
Grey is the son of Scott and Kim Oakes of Greensboro and has two brothers, Caleb, 19, and Nathan, 14.
