Donate prom-appropriate items for needy students

   The second annual DJ Prom Drive is looking for gently used prom dresses for needy area students. Students are referred by their school counselor or social worker and besides a dress, will receive a gift bag which includes Mary Kay products donated by Debbie Jones.
Dresses will be distributed from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 12, 2014, at Open Bible Baptist Church, 610 Beaumont Avenue, Burlington. Want to help? You can donate gently used, prom-appropriate dresses, shoes, evening handbags and jewelry. Volunteers also are needed to help with set-up and distribution.
Drop-off locations include Electra Sun, 2048 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington; Nicki & Company, 15 S.E. Square, Graham; Special Touch Hair Designs Inc., 1456 Greenwood Drive, Burlington and State Farm, Angela T. Swanger, 1905 N.C. 119 South, Mebane.
