Editor’s note: This is the last in a series of fit tips provided by dancer and Teens & 20s writer Logan A. White.

The heat of summer is upon us, and there’s no better way to cool off than hitting the pool or beach. Don’t let your neglected beach body get in the way of summer fun — use these quick tips to get back in shape.
n Don’t starve yourself: This is the last thing you want to do if your goal is dropping a few pounds. Instead, balance your diet (remember last week?) and eat small, filling meals and snacks throughout the day.
n Pump some weights: Using weights will most definitely take your workout to the next level. Ladies, I promise this will not make you muscle-bound bodybuilders. In fact, it will do the exact opposite. Weightlifting is one of the best ways to tighten, tone and get in shape fast.
Hopefully you enjoyed these fitness and nutrition tips, but don’t stop here. Fitness is a lifestyle, not a fad. The internet is full of healthy snack ideas, workout plans and how-to videos. Make the most of your resources, and seize the summer.
