Graduation can be an exciting, yet bittersweet moment for high school seniors. As everyone is about to go their separate ways, it can be a little overwhelming, and especially for those who have been with each other since elementary school.
As a high school senior, I’ve come to realize how fast time has gone by. It seems like just a year ago, I was starting my freshman year.
As preparation for the next step in life begins, I have to make sure I know what college I am going to, and, at least have an idea in mind of what my major will be. I don’t want to go into college and change my major several times. I also have to prepare emotionally; going off to college means leaving the comfort of your family and supporting yourself and begin your own life.
Graduation can be an exciting time, with that feeling that you’ve accomplished something. We are now moving into our next chapter in life.
However, it can also be a little overwhelming, especially for me, with the fact that I’m leaving my family and friends for the next four years. All in all, it is a time of achievement and excitement for what the future holds.
