MEBANE — Looking for a unique gift for those on your list this holiday season?
Then check out the Alamance County Christian Home Educators (ACCHE) Christmas Market Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Mebane Arts & Community Center, 633 Corregidor St. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
This much-anticipated annual event will feature homemade crafts as well as merchandise from home-based businesses. Market Day began as a way to give home-schoolers a change to come up with a sellable item and market it in order to get a hands-on economic lesson.
This year, there will be custom letter art for decorating, stuffed animals to cuddle with on Christmas morning, jewelry to wear to all of your holiday gatherings, home-baked goodies and jams to keep or to give, crocheted and knitted items to keep you or your pet warm, ornaments of all kinds, metalwork to dress up your yard, and much more.
Supplies will be on hand for anyone who stops by to “Make a Card for our Military” and there will be door prizes every half hour for shoppers.
Make sure you stop by and get a few items purchased and crossed off your list.
