The 2017 Williams High School Musical Revue is a slice of Broadway, right here in Burlington.
Expect a show filled with spirited dances and singing at 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, and Saturday, March 18, in the Williams High School auditorium, 1307 S. Church St., Burlington.
Williams High School teacher Lucas Cecil will direct. He has received assistance from Williams alumnus Trae Madden, Williams alumni; Alicia Curtis, chemistry teacher; and Korena Parks, former dance instructor at Williams.
“Each year, we do about 20 to 22 songs. I usually start with a list of student-suggested songs. That’s usually about 40 or 50. I listen to the songs, decide which songs are appropriate for school,” Cecil said.
He held auditions during the school’s exam week and rehearsals began on Jan. 30, the first day of second semester.
Caleb Alston, a senior at Williams, is a soloist this year.
“This year is a good revue.” Alston said. “I really do enjoy getting to dance and sing.”
This year, Alston will be preforming “You’ll Be Back” from the hit musical “Hamilton.”

Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students and tickets can be purchased at the door. For more details, call 336-570-6161.
