Studio 1′s “Broadway Bound” is for those who enjoy Broadway musicals.
It is a sampling of some of the most beloved shows that have hit the stage, including “West Side Story,” “Les Miserables,” “Matilda,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Bye Bye Birdie” and many more. Audience members will enjoy both thrilling group numbers and breathtaking solos, one right after another. In addition, performers share information about each show in between numbers, so theatergoers will be entertained and educated as well.
All singers and dancers are school-aged, and will impress you with talent that is beyond their years. Highlights of the show include a genderbent version of “On My Own” from “Les Miserables” beautifully performed by Aidan Tysinger; a stunning performance of “At the Ballet” from “A Chorus Line” by trio Hailey Korzekwinski, Abby Chester and Eliana Tate; and a rousing rendition of “Too Darn Hot” from “Kiss Me Kate” presented by the entire cast and fabulously led by Sydney Pereira. Other featured soloists include Caroline Segars, Camden Wilder, Veronica Newsome, Olivia Knighten, Cornelia Barnwell, Wesley Shelton, Abigail Jones, Trinity Ambrose, Nevy Fisher and Shannon Clemente. In addition, the marvelous chorus and dance ensemble adds gorgeous melodies and harmonies with every tap and kick.
