Since there’s a growing interest in Cosplay (role-playing games) among today’s youth, Teen to Teen Theatre and Video decided to hold its first-ever Anime Night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Thataways Youth Center, 1334 Overbrook Road, Burlington.
It will be a chance to wear costumes, sing, win prizes and interact with others while learning more about anime.
“We notice that it can be hard to get to anime conventions, so we thought hosting a mini style anime night could be fun,” said Paislee Winkler, one of the event’s coordinators.
An anime costume contest will be included, but Winkler advised guests not to “wear anything that’s too gory or revealing.”
Awards, photos, music, food, karaoke, trading tables, gaming and more will be offered. There also will be information booths for those who are interested in Cosplay and would like to know more about it.
Cost is $10 and it’s recommended for teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 22 years old. For more details, visit facebook.com/T2TTheatre.
