Visual Arts Competition for Young People set for March 15


GRAHAM — The Alamance County Arts Council will open its Visual Arts Competition for Young People with a reception and awards ceremony open to students, teachers and the public from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 15 at the Arts Council (Captain White House), 213 South Main Street.

It is a juried show forAlamance County students enrolled in grades 7 through 12 and it consists of two divisions, which are judged separately — Division I for middle school students in grades 7 and 8 and Division II for high school students in grades 9 through 12.

Visual art instructors, from each participating school, have selected and submitted the artwork. All winning entries will be on display in the Sister Galleries through April 21.
