Have you ever wanted to write something about your favorite band or TV show? Or, have you wanted to read authors that haven’t been discovered yet? Then Wattpad is just the website for you.
There are thousands of works ranging from fan-fiction, stories written by fans about a certain band or TV show or book, to nonfiction. If you’ve ever just wanted to sit down and write something short, sweet and cute for the heck of it, Wattpad has a category for that.
The Canadian website was created in November 2006 and is now expanding to add mobile apps on different devices. There are more than 35 million members on the website and 75 million stories.
If you want to read a story about a unicorn princess that gets kidnapped by the king of zombies, this is the place for you.
On Wattpad, you can read and write stories. If you’re on a mobile device, you can write and edit your stories.
There are stories that allow the reader to insert their name and stories that allow the reader to help the author come up with a plot for the next chapter. Other stories have an “Other Character” or someone who was made-up for the purpose of the story.
Wattpad is a free website that is really good for writers. If you want to join, all you need is an email address. Visit the website at www.wattpad.com for more details.
